KSU student wins memorial scholarship

WOODSTOCK, Ga. -- When Judy Johnson, an employee of the Cherokee County School Nutrition Association (CCSNA), passed away in 2009, a scholarship was created in her memory.

Now, a Woodstock High School alumnus has received the $1,000 gift named for her.

Cory Locatelli, the 2011 recipient, is majoring in photography at Kennesaw State University. He plans to put the Judy Johnson Memorial Scholarship toward his tuition.

Every year, the scholarship is awarded to a child or grandchild of a CCSNA member. Recipients must be good students and have records of community service.

CCSNA holds fundraisers and accepts donations for the scholarship every year.
