12-year-old drug store bandit?

ATLANTA - Several metro Atlanta police agencies are looking for a pair of drug store bandits, one of whom may only be a pre-teen.

"The suspects in our cases are likely participating in robberies throughout the metro area," Gwinnett County Police Corporal Jake Smith told 11Alive News on Friday.

The pair is believed to have robbed several Rite Aid drug stores since October in Atlanta, Douglasville, Buford and possibly Fayetteville and Cobb County.

Investigators aren't certain if the younger bandit is male or female, but one witness described that suspect as possibly only 12-to-15 years old.

"One of our witnesses overheard this young suspect call the older suspect 'dad' in the course of the robbery," Cpl. Smith said.

Smith said there are also several similarities in how the pair operates.

They force an employee to open the safe.

One usually wears a gray hoodie.

They put the stolen cash in a cloth bag.

And strangely, they usually steal some Advil.

"That's what makes us think that this could potentially be related to other cases throughout the city," Smith added.

If you think you know who they are, there could be up to $25,000 in it for you.

That's the reward being offered by Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS(8477).
