KSU students denied exemption to remain in Acworth home
News

KENNESAW, Ga. -- The Cobb County Commission announced Tuesday afternoon that they have denied the request of five Kennesaw State University students for a special land use permit to be able to remain in their rented home.

The five students are being told to vacate the property at the end of the semester, because a county ordinance prohibits more than two unrelated adults from living in and sharing a home.

The students have been sharing an Acworth home since June. Neighbors have complained about the students parking too many cars on their dead-end street.

Each of the girls have been paying about $200 a month for rent, while an apartment closer to campus or campus housing would cost each of them two to three times as much.
