KSU Launches Anti-Idling Policy

KENNESAW, GA -- Kennesaw State University recently became the first public university in the State of Georgia to develop a formal "no idling" policy by participating in the Clean Air Campaign's Diesel Idling Reduction Program.

Since the 2008 launch of the Clean Air Campaign's Diesel Idling Reduction Program, more than 140 employers, properties and organizations in Georgia have taken the initiative to reduce unnecessary diesel engine idling among their fleets and at their worksites. Made possible by a grant from the UPS Foundation, the program has also educated thousands of drivers about the harmful effects of vehicle idling.
