KENNESAW, Ga. -- People across the country have been buzzing about The Undefeated, casually known as The Sarah Palin Movie, for weeks.

Now, the film will make its Metro Atlanta debut at AMC Barrett Commons 24 (2600 Cobb Place Lane NW) in Kennesaw.

"We are extremely excited about the initial reception of The Undefeated. We knew we had a great story to tell about a true American hero," said Stephen K. Bannon, the filmmaker behind the movie.

Presented by Victory Film Group, The Undefeated chronicles Sarah Palin's rise from obscurity to national prominence and has been the center of plenty of political speculation.

The film features several political commentators, including Mark Levin, Tammy Bruce and Andrew Breitbart, as well as interviews with civil servants, elected officials and advisors who were involved in Alaskan politics during Palin's tenure as governor.

"The documentary is made to be seen on a big screen," said Glenn Bracken Evans, producer of the film. "With its story of a small-town girl who, against all odds, rises to the pinnacles of American government, the film plays with all the drama of a Rocky picture, only with a woman as the central figure and with politics instead of boxing."

The Undefeated will play at 10:45 a.m., 1:25 p.m., 4:20 p.m., 7:10 p.m. and 10:05 p.m. today.

Public Service Commissioner Tim Echols plans to attend the 4:20 screening and speak to moviegoers afterward.

Echols said that Palin's entire political experience in the documentary and her book, Going Rogue, shows how frustrating it can be when a newcomer decides to break into politics at almost any level.

"I haven't actually decided on a presidential candidate yet, but Palin's experience is instructive and holds lessons for all conservatives," he said. "And since I have spent most of my adult life training young conservatives around the country, I am all about leveraging the experience of others."
