Palmer Middle student wins Young Georgia Authors contest | Arts & Culture
KENNESAW, Ga. -- A sixth grade student at Palmer Middle School in Kennesaw has taken home the top prize in the 2011 Young Georgia Authors Writing Competition.
Brynn Cochran's short story, "Harder than Corumdum," also won first prize in the Cobb County School District Writing Fair.
The young writer was honored at a special Georgia Department of Education reception Monday, May 23, hosted by State School Superintendent Dr. John D. Barge.
Brynn takes Advanced Content Language Arts at Palmer Middle. Her teacher is Terra Mahre.
