KENNESAW, Ga. -- A long list of big-name country stars are scheduled to perform at the Shaky Boots Music Festival in May on the Kennesaw State University campus.

Performers include Blake Shelton, Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts, Dwight Yoakam, Dierks Bentley, The Band Perry and Sara Evans.

The festival is set for May 16 and 17. Advance tickets go on sale Thursday at 10 a.m. General admission tickets start at $169. VIP ticket packages are $499.

Shaky Boots co-founder Tim Sweetwood told the Marietta Daily Journal he hopes about 30,000 people will attend the festival each day.

The venue could hold about 35,000 people, Sweetwood said, but the specific capacity for the event has not yet been determined.

Sweetwood said he selected Kennesaw for the show because the city is close to Atlanta and is accessible from many different areas.

"And frankly, it was the site. The site is -- if you haven't been there -- the Kennesaw State entertainment area is great. It's very easy to get in, very easy to get out and (has) really large spaces to host the stages and the folks we're looking to have," Sweetwood said.
