Running for a Cause at Kennesaw State

KENNESAW, GA -- The third annual Run for Recovery 5K took place on Saturday, Sept. 11 on the campus of Kennesaw State University. Runners of all ages came out to tackle the 3.1 mile course in the beautiful late-summer weather.

After the race, participants were rewarded with T-shirts and treated to refreshments provided by race sponsors and local businesses. The top three men's and women's finishers received cash prizes.

The proceeds of the 5K went to the Collegiate Recovery Center, which provides KSU students with the resources for an alternative lifestyle to the one of drugs, alcohol and other risky behaviors, according to its website.
